About Steve Mayers and his view of personality factors :

Steve Mayers claims that it is not possible for everyone to have the right jobs or duties according to their tendencies. When the situation is like that he says it is good to stretch them a bit.

He says” when people are in roles that do not suit their preferences, it is not necessarily a bad thing. They may be able to use the time as an opportunity to develop – having more ability to use their non-preferences can often lead to better performance. However, you need to ensure that their primary needs are being met in other ways – eg: in their home or social lives. For some people, particularly those who are suffering burn out, or for whom there seems no prospect of change in the future, you may have to look at ways of changing the nature of their job so that they are stretched less, and operating closer to their preferences.”  Teacher can apply this view to their teaching. They will encounter with so many students with so many types of personalities and they will have to cope with their learning problems. So what they need to do is tring to make them enlarge their capasities or help them adapt to changes.   For more information here is a link for you=)
